Had a blast crossing the eqautor shipmates, first a polywog, then the intiation started and I was ready: the bug juice all in my hair, the crawling all around the ship, the funniest part was the commole and taking the cherry from chiefs belly button: ha ha :)
I came aboard the USS Hector in 84-85 we hit ports Diego Garcia, Phillipines, Thialand, Hawaii just to name some. Love our uniform while aboard. It was hot at sea chaki shorts white t-shirt, white socks, black navy boots, oh yeah, hard work tho, one day one one day off, extremely long hours for cooks, whew, couldn't wait to hit ports for sum good ole Liberty, oh yeah.
