Grew up in Troy, NY and enlisted in Aug 1990. Left Jan 1991, just a few days after the Gulf War began. Did my basic at NTC San Diego, then 8 months at NATTC Millington, TN for avionics A school. Followed that with several months of communications security training at Norfolk, NAS Cecil Field Florida, and NAS Miramar California. Ended up at NAS Glenview, Illinois. Got out in July '94 when the base was all but shut down. Very uneventful and truthfully a bit unfulfilling....but I'm very glad that I served and have nothing but fond memories.
