I am new to this command. My submarine operated for a while out of NWS-Charleston back in the mid-70s. I was honorably discharged at the nearby Charleston Naval Base (now used by Military Sealift Command, U.S. Coast Guard and other government agencies). I presently live in Beaufort, SC with my wife who is a registered nurse and Air Force retiree, and our 12 year old son. I retired from state law enforcement and later worked as a Defense Department security specialist with one deployment in Iraq. I am now a school teacher.
