  •  Graduated Corps Schools November 1985. Lt. Sterling, HM1 Whitemountain, and HM1 Forrester were our instructors! They were the BEST!

  • I was born at NAVHOSP GLAKES in 1974 while my dad was stationed there. 18 years later I returned for boot camp, "A" school, and "C" school as an Engineman

  • Had my appendix removed there in Feb. 1971. Ended up having cardiac arrest post op. (too much anesthesia they said) went on to serve 9 years w three VN tours. Still alive at 59 I guess I can just caulk it up to an interesting experience.
  • Stationed at GLakes Hosp 1969 -1971 and from 1974-1976. Was pharmacy tech.

  • I was Med-Evaced to Great Lakes after being wounded in Vietnam in 1968. Following my medical release, I was assigned to the "Physical Exam Section" located in the main hospital. I was awarded the 'Silver Star' at the Hospital in March 1969 by the "Surgeon General of the Navy," VAdm. George M. Davis (See Photo)

  • I came from the Fleet and went to A Scool, the, because of previous military and civilian medical experience, went to report in at NRMC GLAKES and was promptly stationed at RTC Recruit Dispensary 1017 until I went to the USS Long Beach.

  • The photo of Bldg 200H is from December 1972, taken from the roof of Barracks 219H. We didn't get much snow that year.
The Plan of the Day below is from 10May73. It's a large document, so I'll post it in three parts.
