Naval Air Station Lemoore or NAS Lemoore (IATA: NLC, ICAO: KNLC, FAA LID: NLC) is a United States Navy base, located in Kings County and Fresno County, California. Lemoore Station, California, a census-designated place, is located inside the base's borders.

  • Was stationed at the Old Naval Hospital across the street from the new Hospital

    Worked for facilities Operations and was the LPO there  1979-1998 when I retired after 20 years

  • Hi.  I was at Lemoore from 77-81 with VA-195, made the 77 WesPac and 79 Med cruises.  Also at AIMD jet shop from Jan 82-Oct83.

  • ...got to Lemoore in September of 1985, assigned to COMLATWINGPAC.......

  • Well 115 is back in Japan now.  I was with them during the transformation and the first Super Hornet cruise (war cruise).

     

  • I came to NAS Lemoore with VFA-115.  It was my first command as an officer.  First two years were rough as an ENS but it got better and I took the Squadron on the War Cruise with the Super Hornets as the MMCO.

  • Received orders to NAS Lemoore, CA on July 16, 1966 upon leaving A School in Memphis, TN as an ATR Aviation Electronics Technician.  Spent three months in VA-125 at Lemoore for A4-E familiarization and then received orders to fly to Subic Bay, PI via Tachikawa, Japan where I was to join VA-163 on USS Oriskany on Oct. 28, 1966 two days after the fire on the Oriskany! 

  • Served aboard at F.A.E.T.U.Pac Det. 4 (later Det. Lemoore) Dec. 1965 to Apr. 1966

    Transferred to N.A.T.T.C.-N.A.S. Memphis, Tn. in 1966 for "A School" then back to N.A.S. Lemoore, Ca. and F.A.E.T.U.Pac Det. 4

    Transferred to Attack Squadron VA-122 in 1966 thru Sept. 1969

    Assigned TAD to IMA Power Plants

    Discharged Sept. 11, 1969
