Has anyone heard of having Bailey ACC on a 600# M-type boiler? As an amateur Navy historian, a 1200# BT and a factory rep for Bailey, I'd never heard of such a thing, but I have a picture of the Bailey console onboard the USS NORTHAMPTON (CLD/CC-1), which had the 600# B&W M-types that all of her sisterships in the OREGON CITY class of heavy cruisers had.
My biggest question is, if she had M-types, did the ACC control both furnaces or only the saturated side. The picture looks like only the controls for two single furnace blrs.
Anyone have any info on this puzzle?
